Individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents
Therapy with each individual person looks so different. Our work together will be partly in the therapy room, but mostly out in your life. I will support you through the often messy work of change by helping you identify patterns that keep you stuck and helping you reconnect to your mind, heart, and body. Therapy can help you:
- learn how to calm down your body to feel more grounded.
- discern what is coming from traumatized parts of you and what is actually true.
- practice new ways of being in the world.
I am not married to one way of doing therapy, although I most identify as an EMDR therapist. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma.
