Frequently Asked Questions for clients seeking psychotherapy and intensives
How do I schedule a consultation?
Please call me at (434) 260-1608 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a free consultation. At this meeting, we can talk about you or your adolescent’s needs. This is a great time to ask any questions about the process of therapy, EMDR, or any questions about me that you may have. We will be using the first few sessions of therapy to see if I am a good fit for you or your adolescent and if what you are needing help with is within my area of expertise. If either of us decides that another provider will be better equipped to meet you or your adolescents needs, I can help with providing referrals.
How are sessions structured?
I am flexible with how I work with people and we can talk more about what would be best for you. I do traditional 50 minute weekly sessions, double sessions, and can provide intensive work depending on the presenting issue, assessment, and scheduling ability.
What is your payment policy?
Please contact me for for my current fee structure. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted for payment. Payment is due at the time services are rendered.
Do you accept insurance?
While I am NOT considered an in-network provider for any insurance providers, I can provide you with a monthly billing statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. To find out how much you can expect to be reimbursed, simply call your insurance company and ask what cost they cover for an out of network mental health provider.
